The Build
My sauna sits in an uninsulated corner of the garage, and the first winter it took forever to heat up and lost temperature fast every time the door opened. Went back in and added rigid foam board behind the cedar, plus a proper foil vapor barrier and better door weatherstripping.
Heat-up time dropped noticeably and the heater doesn't run nearly as constantly to hold temperature now.
