Building a Two-Person Cedar Sauna in My Basement

Basement builds have one extra headache outdoor and garage builds don't: humidity and moisture management, since basements already run damp. Put down waterproof flooring and made sure the vapor barrier was continuous and properly sealed at every seam before the cedar went up.

Running the dedicated circuit was the most expensive single line item since the electrical panel is on the opposite side of the basement.
